Meet Your Coach Nicholas

So, where do I start? At the beginning I guess…

To be completely honest, I was a little s**t when growing up. I do regret leaving school with only one GCSE but it was in food technology, which makes a lot of sense as I absolutely love food!

I went on to join the British Army and served my country for five years and I toured Afghanistan and Iraq.

This gave me the confidence to leave to follow my passion and pursue a career in the fitness industry.

I initially started in a commercial gym which was a great starting point.

It became clear, quite quickly that personal trainers believed and taught their clients that the only way to achieve really good results was to apply massive amounts of restriction into their lives, which was ultimately unsustainable long term…

Keto this… Low carb that... and don't even get me started on the butter in your coffee crew!

“I know what we are going to do Sandra, we are going to give you around 350 calories worth of butter in your coffee in the morning instead of giving you food and waste a big chunk of your daily intake”...

This was the kind of crap which I saw spouted and clients were parting with their hard earned cash for!

People were going to crazy lengths to achieve results but I wanted to do it in a more sustainable way and with education in mind.

So, I left the commercial gym and joined a smaller private gym with the intention to increase my knowledge.

I genuinely wanted to help people to live a realistic lifestyle and have the body they desired without the restrictions.

I am now blessed enough to own a private gym, Atlas Physique in Altrincham.

I have worked tirelessly to create an environment that doesn't have all the crap, which frustrated me and to rid the poor standards that plague our industry.

I have a team of amazing hand picked coaches who aspire to my high standards, are equally meticulous, hard working and genuine people who love what they do.

It’s been around ten years since I started my journey and in that time I have done more than 10,000 hours of 1-2-1 personal training.

I’ll be honest and hold my hands up, I have made some mistakes along the way but that has made me the person I am today... an outspoken idiot some would say.

I have learnt and understood a lot about people. Everyone is an individual but their need for support is the most essential part of their journey with a Personal Trainer.

You can have the best training program in the world but if your Personal Trainer isn't there when you need them for support, then believe me when I say the results aren't as good as they could be.

My goal is to educate people, helping them sift through all the bullshit that is confusing them.

My approach is one that is honest and backed by science and research. It’s an easy to understand and sustainable method which actually works in real life.

WOW I seriously waffled on there didn't I...

If you want to know anything more about me then please drop me an email and lets have a chat.

Otherwise I’m always available and offer a free telephone consultation prior to joining up.
